IAM India Chapter is one of the leading asset management community in India. It is an educational and professional body to advance the discipline of asset management and to support the capability development of individuals and organisations involved in infrastructure asset management.

IAM India will work as a not-for-profit organisation under a collaboration agreement with the international Institute of Asset Management registered in the UK.

IAM India Chapter Committee

 

Dr Shetty is the President of the Institute of Asset Management India and Strategy Adviser to the MSME Ministry, Govt. of Karnataka. After serving for 30-years based in the UK, he retired recently as the Fellow and Leader of the Atkins Group’s Global Centre-of-Excellence for Asset Management. Dr Shetty plays a key role within the Institute of Asset Management (IAM), the ISO TC251 Committee and the BIS committee on Asset Management. Navil has over 25 years of experience in strategic infrastructure asset management & risk management across several industry sectors. He has provided strategic advice to major asset owners around the world such as MTA New York, London Underground, Network Rail, High Speed 2, Heathrow Airport, Severn Trent Water, RTA Dubai, Abu Dhabi Government, SMRT Singapore, LTA Singapore, MTR Hong Kong, etc.

His key professional activities and achievements include:

• Convenor, ISO/PC251 developing the ISO 55000 suite of standards on Asset Management
• Expert on ISO/TC251 – International Committee on Asset Management
• Convenor, BIS Sub-Committee on Asset Management
• President, Institute of Asset Management – India Chapter

• Member, IAM Faculty and Chair Knowledge Leadership Group and Member, IAM Council during 2008 –2013

Santhosh is Senior Director at Atkins, Atkins Fellow, and technical expert in field of Digital Twin and automation. He has over 24 years of experience leading large complex twin platform and automation programs in industries like Manufacturing, Media and Entertainment, Telecommunications, and Banking.

Santhosh has delivered digital transformation strategy for Telecommunications, Banking and manufacturing organizations. He also developed and implemented IT 4.0 strategy for different manufacturing organisations. He has developed award winning computer vision platforms to solve real-world problems like Railway Line Operations, Highway Infrastructure management and City Development.

Meet joined AECOM - Structures (Horizontal and Vertical) team in Bangalore as Early Career Professional post his post graduation in Civil Engineering (specialization: Infrastructure Engineering and Management) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in July 2023 with institute recognition for academic excellence. His MTech thesis focused on incorporating economies of scale in pavement asset management decision frameworks where Meet demonstrated better decisions for pavement assets that would explicitly leverage benefits of economies of scale.

Meet completed his internship at Headquarters, Bureau of Indian Standards(BIS) where he looked at mapping and incorporating sustainability in over 30 codes. Meet holds a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from NMIMS, Mumbai. He is passionate about asset management and digital transformation and hopes to engage young professionals in the industry.

• Dr. Harshavardhan Subbarao, holds a Ph.D. in Steel Structures from Imperial College, London and M.S. Eng. from Univ. of Michigan. He is involved in design and design checking Consultancy services for large infrastructure Projects – Highways, Expressways, Bridges, Tunnels and Metros. He has been the designer of several Landmark award-winning projects such as Signature Cable Stayed Bridge, Delhi; 4.56km Rail-cum-Road Bridge, Patna; Bridge No. 20 on JURL; metros, viaducts, elevated roads, cable-stayed, arch and extra-dosed bridges, underpasses etc.
• Former Vice President of the International Association of Bridge & Structural Engineers (IABSE), Zurich, former Member of its Tech. Committee, and Past-Chair of its Bulletin Editorial Board and currently serves as Chair of the Outstanding Paper Award Committee (OPAC) - for Outstanding Technical Paper Award, Technical Report and IABSE Best PhD Thesis Award.
• Member Executive Committee, Indian Institute of Bridge Engineers (IIBE), GC Member, Indian Association of Structural Engineers (IAStructE) and Chair, Consulting Engineers Association of India (CEAI) – Western Region, Executive Committee of Institute for Steel Development and Growth (INSDAG)
• He has been involved in more than 40 Assessments, Repair, Rehabilitation and Retrofitting of all kinds of structures and Bridge Asset Management Concept Consultancy. He is a Member of the Bridge Expert Committee of NHAI and PWD Gujarat. He is a member of two Special Task Groups of IABSE on Forensic Engineering and the International Bridge Failure Database and also fib TG 3.5 Bulletin on Forensic Engineering for Concrete Structures. He has served on the Editorial Board of ICE Journal, U.K. on Forensic Engineering Proceedings. In some of the Bridge Projects, in which Construma Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., has been involved, Structural Health Monitoring Systems are planned and installed.
• Published Papers on Life Cycle Costing, principal contributor and author of the Indian Roads Congress (IRC) Guidelines for Life Cycle Costing, received a medal from IRC.
• He serves on several committees of IRC, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), IABSE and fib, and various International and National bodies. He is a member of BIS Apex Committee CED:7 for Steel Structures and Sections, was a committee member of IS 800 Limit State Code and Co-convener of IRC Steel and Composite Bridge committee. He has over 38 years of experience and serves on various International & National Scientific and Technical Committees, Editorial Boards and has several papers, and publications on bridge projects to his credit.

Kiran has affluent corporate experience over 20 years in the field of Safety, Quality, Environment and Asset Management Implementation, Audit and Training. He escalated momentum in his career graph by being titled as ‘Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt’. His role is prominent in the field of Energy, Infrastructure and Power, Chemical, Metal manufacturing. With proven ability he exhibits his acumen and skills in auditing, consultancy, and training in the field of QMS/EMS/OHSAS/Asset Management.

He is a firm believer of Research and Development in the field of Lean Six Sigma and Quality Engineering, Asset Management and thus actively involved in Research work. The Paper Publications to his credits are on “Application of Robust Quality Engineering –power distribution system “, published in international journal in Quality & Reliability and on “Reliability Center Maintenance Application” for Power Distribution Assets.

Kiran owns various projects and processes on Lean Six Sigma. He has also completed various Data Analytical Assignments in the areas of R-BPO, Maintenance Services, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

Academically, he has gained credits with bachelor’s in electrical engineering and Post Graduate Diploma in “Electricity Regulation” from MERC, Advance Diploma In Industrial Safety He is a dedicated lifelong learner, and keep on upgrading his knowledge by his professional affiliations with Asset Management Institute, London (1039583) and Quality Circle forum of India.

Nikita Bhalla is working as a Project Manager with a non-profit, Natural Assets Initiative Society based out of Canada. She comes from a background in Structural Engineering, and has received formal education in asset management during her second master’s in Engineering Leadership (MEL, Urban Systems) from the University of British Columbia, Canada. Nikita has 7 years of experience working across various asset classes, including, water, wastewater, stormwater, parks, transit, open space and green infrastructure.

Her specializations include development of asset management policy/strategy, level of service framework and risk analysis, with key focus on green infrastructure and natural assets. In her current role, she is also exploring the refinement in methodologies for the development of natural asset inventories across the Indigenous communities.
